Ashes of the Damned – SOLO Easter Egg Guide (Black Ops 7 Zombies)

This is a full, step-by-step solo guide for completing the Ashes of the Damned Easter Egg in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies.
The instructions prioritize clean routing, survival strategies, and round-based timing for solo players.

Step 1 – Repair the Pickup Truck (“Ol’ Tessie”)

• In the spawn room, grab Tedd’s Head from the server crate.

• Take it to the broken pickup truck, Ol’ Tessie, to repair it.

• This truck becomes your essential travel tool for the entire quest.

Step 2 – Restore Power in Three Zones

Restore power at:

• Vandorn Farm

• Blackwater Lake

• Ashwood

At each Infested Power Pump:

1. Clear all orange blobs within the short time limit.

2. Pull the switch to restore power.

Step 3 – Add Pack-a-Punch to Ol’ Tessie

• Drive the truck into the garage.

• Install the Pack-a-Punch module at the workbench.

• Gives the vehicle a major upgrade.

Step 4 – Get the Widow’s Lantern

• Visit the cabin at Blackwater Lake and pick up the Jar of Spores.

• Go to Vandorn Farm and interact with the dead horse.

Step 5 – Install the Abomination Carcass

• At Reba’s Diner (Exit 115), kill zombies until you get the Freezer Key.

• Unlock the freezer, grab the Abomination Carcass, return to the garage, and install it on Ol’ Tessie.

Step 6 – Get Hoard Husk Chunks

• Enter foggy zones using the truck.

• Destroy purple glowing “Overgrown Hoard Husk” plants with the upgraded beam.

• Grab the Husk Chunks quickly before zombies swarm.

Step 7 – Get Ravager Eyes

• Around Round 6, a Ravager round begins.

Step 11 – Secure the Aether Barrel

• Bring Klaus to the Support Systems area in Zarya Cosmodrome.

• Interact with the scanner panel so Klaus can operate it.

• Survive inside the scanning zone.

• Pick up the Aether Barrel.

Step 12 – Charge the Aether Barrel

Charge the barrel at pumps in this order:

1. Blackwater Lake

2. Ashwood

3. Vandorn Farm cellar

Survive the horde at each station.

Step 13 – Get the Necrofluid Gauntlet

• In the farmhouse cellar, interact with the cube while carrying the barrel.

• Use the jump pad at Janus Tower Plaza to see three symbols on the barn roof.

• Return to the cube and input those three symbols.

• Collect the Necrofluid Gauntlet and complete the small arena challenge.

Step 14 – Get Powder of the Forgotten

• Obtain the Wisp Tea perk.

• In Ashwood’s Tailor Shop, summon a wisp and lead it into the mirror.

• Shoot the mirror cube with the Gauntlet.

• Collect the Powder of the Forgotten.

Step 15 – Get Mysterious Limbs

• Around Round 16, a Zursa bear mini-boss can spawn.

• Use Ol’ Tessie’s beam to kill it.

• Pick up the Mysterious Limbs.

Step 16 – Blood Sacrifice in Yuri’s Lab

• Find the Syringe in a small building near the Wisp Tea machine in Zarya.

• Bring it to Yuri’s Lab.

• Solve the colour puzzle until the vial turns red (black = fail → try again next round).

• Add blood to start the soul-box event.

• Kill zombies until the room fills with purple smoke.

Step 17 – Collect Three Fog Keys

Find these keys in fog zones:

• Nightbird Key (Orda Graveyard)

• Bruin Key (Crashed Rocket)

• Terrapin Key (Grounded Ship)

Return all keys to the prism in Ashwood (behind Pack-a-Punch).
You’ll receive the DG-2 Turret Barrel.
Install it on the truck.

Step 18 – Slow Down the Zarya Radio Towers

• Shoot the floating Clock Tower above the garage with the Turret Barrel.

• Absorb the purple energy with the Gauntlet.

• Use the jump pad and shoot a spinning radio tower in Zarya.

• Repeat for the second tower next round (can only absorb energy once per round).

Step 19 – Launch the Rocket

• Enter the Control Room in Zarya.
