Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has received a new update on PS4 and PS5, bringing additional security improvements along with several gameplay and UI fixes.
The update is now rolling out and includes a number of changes for multiplayer and Custom Games.
What’s New?
The biggest change is additional security updates, which should be welcome news for players who have recently experienced hackers and other issues in Black Ops 2 multiplayer.
The update also adds a new option for Depth of Field visual effects in Custom Games, allowing players to toggle the effect on or off.
Other changes include:
- Additional security updates
- New Depth of Field toggle for Custom Games
- Various UI fixes
- Fixed an issue that could occur after adding friendly and enemy bots in Custom Games
- Fixed a rare Free-for-All issue involving a final kill with a Combat Axe
- UI settings now automatically adjust when platform-level UGC settings are enabled
More Security Updates
The additional security work is particularly important following reports of hackers affecting Black Ops 2 players on PlayStation.
Hopefully, these changes will make the PS4 and PS5 versions more reliable for players jumping back into multiplayer.
